The Ordering Process
Send us your logo!
If you already have a logo, great ! Email it to info@creationsinthread.com (pdf files are our favorite) then tell us what you want to put it on and how many items you are interested in.
If you don't already have a logo, no worries, we can help you build a brand that fits your style. We charge $30 per hour for artwork, we will edit until you love it ! The best way to show us what you have in your head is to sketch out what you want or go to google images and send us pics of layouts, fonts, clip art and color schemes that tickle your fancy. The more accurate picture you can give us the faster (and cheaper) we can create your logo.
Let us know what you want your design on!
Next we need to know the apparel or caps you want. We can provide pretty much any style you are interested in. We have hundreds of style and colors. Again the more accurate you can describe what you want the faster the process. If you already know the style of jacket or shirt or cap perfect! If not, we can help you find the perfect fit for you. We have tons of catalogs to search through or send us a photo of your favorite cap or shirt from your closet, help us narrow down what you are wanting and we can find you what you are looking for. Some catalogues you can look through are Company Casuals, Bella-CANVAS, Flex-Fit & Richardson.
We send you a proof and your deposit.
If you are ready to proceed we will follow that up with a final estimate. We require half down on all customer orders. After you have paid your deposit , we will create a proof it to make sure that it is perfect. In the meantime we will order your blanks so they are ready to be sewn when we have your logo ready to roll.
We get started!
We are typically 3 weeks out on an order with a new logo design and 2 weeks on a re-order. We can rush orders for a fee.
Depending on busy season or a particularly large job these time frames are subject to change, but we will give you an estimated time frame when you place your order. We do everything humanly possible to meet all deadlines! If you have a deadline to meet please let us know when you place the order.
Ship time!
Balance on invoice is due before we ship. Yes, we ship everywhere!
Embroidery
Embroidery pricing is based on quantity ordered and stitch count of the design you want to embroider. The stitch count is determined by the density or complexity of your logo.
After we have your logo then it will need to be set up into Stitches, a file for our machines to read.
Our machines sew 6 pieces at a time, so when picking caps or apparel it is best if you pick colors of threads by groups of 6. Sizes don't matter, just colors of thread. We can do smaller groupings of thread color however you will be charged more and it adds to production and set up times.
Screen Printing
Screen printing pricing is based on quantity ordered and number of colors of the design you want to print. The more colors in your logo the more it costs. For each color a screen must be burned . For the first order you will have screen set up charges. $15 per color, for re-orders you will not be charged screen charges , if you order at least 24 items.
Patches
Patch pricing is based on quantity ordered and the density or complexity of the design. They can be sew on or sticker backed. The amount of colors in your design doesn’t matter. Patches are typically most economical when you order 50 or more. If you are ordering patches to put on caps, we don't require that you put them all on caps. You could order 50 patches and just put a few on caps to start if you like. Save the rest for later or use them for other purposes. Patches are quoted on an individual basis however 50 patches that are 2 by 4 inches typically run around $3.50 per patch.
Direct to Garment
Direct to Garment printing is great for short runs and enables us to do full color printing and photo quality. Great for quick custom gifts. DTG printing is also less expensive to print on light colored shirts. We can DTG on dark shirts but it requires more labor and supplies so it costs a little more than printing on light colored shirts.
Stickers
Stickers are prices by size and quantity. They can be full color and die cut. We can do large and small!
